SEED PAPER INTENSIVE: PLANT IT!
Making plantable paper is the ultimate eco-friendly craft and folk art! Note that this activity with a group is an INTENSIVE process, both in time and labor. Make paper pulp (see Papermaking workshop) using paper from your recycling bin, pull your own sheet of new paper, add seeds, let dry, cut, plant, and watch it grow. Make plantable gift tags or cards, or cut it into your favorite shapes or strips for the perfect gift that keeps on giving. Spread the love of greening in your favorite garden or patch of dirt!
Make Paper Seed Balls by adding seeds to paper pulp and hand forming large gumball sized balls that can be planted.
Best for participants 5 years and older.
Some preparation may be required.
This can be scheduled for a 1 - 2 1/2 hour workshop.
