GROW THIS PAPER INTENSIVE

Making plant-able paper is the ultimate eco-friendly craft and folk art!  Make paper pulp (see Papermaking workshop) using paper from your recycling bin, pull a sheet of new paper, add seeds, let dry, cut, plant, and watch it grow.  Make plant-able gift tags, cards, or cut into shapes or strips for the perfect gift that keeps on giving.  Spread the love of greening in your favorite garden or patch of dirt!

This is labeled INTENSIVE due to the preparation, set-up and breakdown, and the simple yet structured process.  Working in small groups or pairs, participants rotate through a series of "centers" or chores.  Time needed to rotate through the group will vary, and 1-3 adults helping with young folks is suggested.  Some preparation and basic materials are required.

OPTION:

Make Paper Seed Balls by adding seeds to paper pulp and hand forming large gumball sized balls that can be planted.  Some preparation may be required.
