PAPEL PICADO & DAY OF THE DEAD

Paper cutting arts and artisans are found around the world, the practice is almost as old as the use and invention of paper.  An optional slide show takes you to Latin America where tissue paper banners are intricately cut to decorate rooms, altars, patios, and more.  The workshop can easily be adapted to focus on other Latinx cultural paper cutting traditions, or Asian Lunar New Year or Mid-Autumn Festival activities.  Handle the real thing before creating your own.

Best for participants 9 and older.
