PAPEL PICADO & CELEBRATIONS
Paper cutting arts exist around the world, almost as old as the invention of paper itself. A slideshow takes you to Latin American communities where tissue paper banners are intricately cut to decorate rooms, altars, patios, and more. The workshop can be adapted to focus on cultural paper cutting traditions like Latinx Cinco de Mayo and Day of the Dead, Asian Lunar New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival activities, or others. Handle the real thing before creating your own.
