Japan Craft and Folk Art

JAPAN: CRAFT & FOLK ART

Travel to Japan’s countryside where making traditional folk arts have remained the same for more than a thousand years.  Experience daily life, culture, while also following one of many ancient processes of your choice:  dyeing, weaving, papermaking, printmaking, or something else.

This workshop seamlessly weaves together history, science, math, and folk art through visuals, artifacts, and experimenting with simple tools and ancient techniques.  Practice the slow way of creating and making, then display!
