Start with a cultural sampling of celebrations throughout Asia, and then make a paper cut of the current zodiac calendar animal, or another.  Using just paper, scissors, and glue, exercise the concept of positive and negative space, and the almost-lost arts of cutting and gluing, crucial foundational small motor skills.
